Danny Torres Filmmaker - not-so-extraordinaire Stole 150k in bogus Private Offering Memorandum/Private Placement Memorandum POM/PPM San Francisco, California

This scallywag pretends to be an honest producer with the utmost of integrity and skill, but he is full of BS. He also has a prison record a mile long. He's the Bernie Madoff of independent film. He goes by Danny Torres, if that's his real name, before he went by Danny Torres, he went by Rene Torres. God only knows what he will go by next. He used to run Alpine Pictures and has since changed the name of his production company several times to things like Trylon, Trillium, Sonic Pictures and other official sounding names with bogus websites, but no matter what he calls himself - he's a scam artist. Him and his partners have been arrested and banned from several states for investment fraud. Check out either of the links below.

The SEC (securities and exchange commission) has shut him and his partners down several times. They've been prohibited from opening another telemarketing center or funding any more Private Offering Memorandums or Private Placement Memorandums (POM/PPMs), but they keep doing it in other people's names and with unsuspecting Venture Capitalists, High Networth Individuals, Pseudo-Private Equity Firms, and small time Venture Capital Firms and they keep getting shut down time and again. Avoid them at all costs.

Danny Torres and his partners took 150k from me telling me it was to set up their company and I haven't seen a dime back. I'm told they still brag about getting the 150k to set up their company and move to LA (if any one knows where please tell me). They told me I could use it as a tax write off, but because they never used it to make a film not only did I lose the 150k, i had to pay taxes on it as well so I lost even more money. They claim to have made dozens of films yet they've never completed one. They claim to be able to get world wide distribution, but i've never seen any of their films any where and they refuse to show me numbers while I still had their contact info. I've never even seen their stuff on Amazon or Netflix. They're just clowns who are in the film business to make a living off sucker investors. AVOID DANNY AND HIS PARTNERS AT ALPINE OR WHATEVER THEY CALL THEMSELVES AT ALL COSTS.

The private investigator I hired to find Danny has found him a couple times, but he keeps moving however I do believe his real name is Danny Torres as we found various arrest records (posted below) which are all linked to his former addresses and social security number which tells me he is not only crooked, but dangerous.  AVOID HIM AND HIS TEAM AT ALL COSTS --- No Matter What New Name They are Going By.
