He paid the security deposit and 1st months rent with two NSF cheques. Upon investigating much deeper I found that his references and ID were all a fraud. He's connected with the Spirit of America Coach Line scam in Florida, Gator Air scam in Florida, and a mortgage company in California.
This guy is bad news.
