Deal Chicken Gannett, Florida Today, USA Today Scam, unpaid for services, atrocious customer service, hidden fees McLean, Virginia

Deal Chicken, a daily deal site owned by Gannett, was brand new.  I was a fairly new business owner as well and thought I'd run a deal with them to get my name out in the area.

Not only did I offer my services at an unreasonably cheap rate, Deal Chicken gets HALF of the proceeds!  So now I am offering my services and time for about 1/6th of the actual cost.

Oh, don't let me forget hat I was also charged a credit card processing fee for people to pay for my deal with their credit cards! (I was never told of this until AFTER my deal ran)

All went well until the deal was over, I had sold some vouchers for services and was never paid.  It has been over 2 months and I have still not been paid for my services. After several emails and calls between my rep and the "manager", this is still not resolved.

I then had a customer that never confirmed her appointment for services, after several emails (and weeks) and she complained to Deal Chicken and they gave her a refund, without even hearing my side.  So now, they "say" they are sending me a check, less her monies.  

I have not given Deal Chicken the authority to offer her a refund from MY check.  She did not confirm her appt and has been given the option to reschedule.  I cannot be held responsible for her lack of communication.  

When I asked my rep what we can do about this, her response was "I'm sorry this has been unfavorable for you.  Best of luck"

Really?

I will NEVER do business with them again and hope to make others aware of their lack of customer service as well as the fact that they will most likely have to beg and plead to be paid.
