Signed up for a Deal Dash account and bought a 50% off bid package for $63.00. After reviewing several auctions or penny bid products I was starting to notice a pattern in the bidding process. Knowing that I was already ripped off I decided to find a product that I wanted to waste all of my bids on. I researched several items and was trying to find a product that did not have much traffic. I eventually found a mystery auction that looked appealing, the other auctions like this one was selling for less than $5.00. After using a 100 bids or so the pattern started and I was able to determine exactly who the next bidder was going to be. This shows that Deal Dash is using Computer Automated Bots so they can retrieve your bids and gain profit from what you spent on the bid package. I have posted a video on youtube with my findings. Please view and like so we can work together to shut Deal Dash down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TyKsM9oBcvk

error on my last rebuttle and no way to change in

AUTHOR: nancy - ()

I was talking about Bid buddy and when you have to many bids in for the cost of the gift card,  You can  win it , but  you do NOT get the bids left in your bid buddy back. You loose that amount of money those bids cost

If you do a buy it now instead when the auction is over. You pay the amount of the gift card, not the amount it went for when it was over, but you do get all the bids back that you had put in for that

auction then.  So a $25 gift card as example, you pay 25 for  and if you had   205 bids put in when the auction was over those 205 bids will  be put back into your bids that you have when you pay for the gift card on buy it now.  Hope that makes sense

Again if you WIN  you pay the amount that the bids were at  like  $9.50  but you do not get any bids back then on a win..

Again beware, dont over bidthe price of the item unless you intend to over bid  a lot and have  many bids in that auction so when you dont win you can still do a buy it now and get enough bids back to pay for it like a $10 item and even more bids  then it cost . Your up bids then not down.

rebuttles here are not timely

AUTHOR: nancy - ()

Some of the rebutles  are way past the time the complaints were written so are not valid. Somethings have changed but not when the complaints were written

How can Renee say that if you win a auction you can pay for it and your extra bids in bid buddy will be returned?? That has  NEVER been true. You pay but you loose the bids inyour bid buddy.  Thats whyyou have to calculate how many bids you put in and when you have more money in bids then the item is worth you stop bidding adn then just do a buy it now , but remember you loose all the money you paid for the bids, so dont bid a lot .

the bid now buttonhas been a recent problem Iv witten to DD about and has not been resolved.  Some times ihave to hit it  2 or 3 times for it to work and some tiems it never works anyway.

Gift cards are coming fast at this time  March. but Im waiting for about 5 items and when I wrote to DD they said they would try another outlet for the items so Im still waiting and again this is March not last  Nov or Dec

So be sure when you write here your writting in the same time frame as the complaint !!!!

DealDash is not a ripoff!

AUTHOR: Renee - ()

I have been a customer of DealDash since September of 2012.  I have won over 150 auctions that were both merchandise and gift cards.

I have received every item I have ever won.  DealDash is pretty much an online gambling site to win items instead of money.  With knowing this, you win some and you lose some.  I have paid pennies for some items and overpaid on some items.

Consumers get angry when they spend money and don't win the item, however DealDash allows you to purchase the item you were bidding on and you get your bids back.

I feel that they are and honest and fair bidding website.  The only reason I decided to respond to this complaint is because I did not feel that the complaint was true.

DealDash has never ripped me off in any way shape or form.  During Christmas time 2012, they were overwhelmed with winners.  I had won a waffle iron and bought one.  I contacted customer service, and they took care of the problem right away.

Customer service used to be a little tricky to get a hold of, but they hired more people to handle the site.

With every item that you either have won or bought, the provide with tracking numbers for UPS or FedEx items, and if it is a gift card they notify you when it was shipped by date.

Again, I have no complaints about DealDash what so ever.

DealDash has a BidBuddy system.  You have the option of bidding ahead of time for the item and not losing your place, or if you don't want to sit at the computer as the auction takes place.  Yes, you can tell who the next person will bid next because they have set up their BidBuddy too.  If you win the item before all your bids have been used, you win the item and the extra bids are returned to you.

I do not think the person who wrote the complaint understood the way DealDash works.

DealDash works for me.

AUTHOR: Incognito - (United States of America)

I have been a "DealDasher" for about 4 months or so now.
I have won maybe 30 or so items in the $10 to $400 value range.
Of course the website has some issues at times, it's a website, it happens...
I have never lost any bids due to server malfunction. Only to my own inexperienced bidding...
When I have had concerns with delayed delivery of my items, customer support was quick to address them.
When an item I won was out of stock they were very quick with either a replacement item or a generous amount of bids.
At first I lost more money on bids than I won in items but that was due to my own lack of research, experience and knowledge of the bidbuddy and how it works. I quickly learned and now always win more than I spend.
I think the most important thing to learn or know going into this is that in a sense, it IS gambling. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
I love dealdash and will continue to use it.

RIPOFF

AUTHOR: Cheryl - (United States of America)

I have also been ripped off by DEALDASH, i have spent more than $1000.00 for Christmas gifts, my kids had nothing under the tree because I didn't receive my items,

I started back the end of Oct and still have not received stuff. I didn't have money to go and buy other items

You send emails to customer service and they come back to you and say they don't have a ship date but should be shipped soon

They also sell more than they have and they tell you sorry we are out of this item, and rip you off and don't replace it with something you really want

DealDash

AUTHOR: racenbug - (United States of America)

I have had the same problem with dealdash as was reported here.  I began months  ago to bid only on things for Christmas gifts.  that way if I dont win the auction I just try & buy the item & recycle all my bids.  I have received most of the Gas Gift Cards but the actual products (seven to 8 items) have not yet come to the tune of close to $1,000.00 worth.

When I go to "dashboard" to "view" about the items that say "shipped"  weeks ago, it tells me to contact customer service.  The only way they allow you to do so is by email.  I have done so continuosly as Christmas is close & am assured I'll get reply w/in 48 hrs.
I haven't yet received any replies.

I'm on disability & cannot afford to lose those things that are paid for gifts.  Do I have any recourse at all?  Most things state delivery of end of November 2012?  It is now Dec. 6th & nothing.  If DD turns out to be a real scam then I'm stuck with over 2000 bids from "buy it not option".

Same old thing now. No reply from DD

AUTHOR: nancy - (United States of America)

Trudy, I still havnt heard from DD.  I have sent new complaints also on the same issue and sent all the data they needed to look at the screen and even have a screen shot They dont want to deal with this problem.

IT is still happening too.   Freinds who use DD have complained to me and I have given them the address to Ripoff to complain here, not to me

Bidbuddies automatically disappear

AUTHOR: Trudy - (United States of America)

I agree with Nancy.  I tried DealDash for the first time and was excited.  After using up my initial bids, I saw a pattern and was figuering out how the auction worked.  I bought more bids.  I was using the BidBuddies system.  When I went to another section of the auction site and returned to my dashboard ALL of my BidBuddies bids had been erase.  One auction I was bidding on still had 50 bids in the bidbuddies system when they disappeared.  Total RIPOFF.  Still waiting for a response from DealDash.  Buyer Beware!

DealDash doesnt read rebuttles

AUTHOR: nancy - (United States of America)

Apparently DealDash just sends out forum letters. They come back to my rebuttal and say that IF I knew about DealDash and how to play Iwould know bidbuddy.

I said I use bidbudy my friends. If you read things and the many messages Iv sent  to your consumer site you would see that as things were happening I talked about  bid buddys and not being able to see howmany bids Ihad left .  I had to put more bids in all the time so get that to work and see how many bids Ihad left,

I had bid buddy on and still lost the  item Maybe Deal Dash can read this 2nd  rebeuttal from me

Maybe they will answer some of my messages sent while all this was going on and I was trying to use th site the right way.  Iv used it, Iv won things already. The site was not working right. I stated all that in my messages to them. I stated that in my rebuttal

Now I will write my own complant here in   Ripoff I tryed to just rebuttal and get some where with deal dash but its not working

The BidBuddy

AUTHOR: DealDash - (USA)

If you are familiar with DealDash and how it works than you know that on DealDash, Bidders have an option to use what is known as the "BidBuddy". This is one of the most popular features of the site and the bidders love to use it.

The BidBuddy can assist bidders in being able to bid in an auction, even if the bidders are not online at that time or when they can't be on the computer. The BidBuddy automatically submits bids according to the specifications set in advance by the user and is a safe way to make sure one does not lose an auction if distracted for any reason. If several bidders have bids on their BidBuddies, theyll take turns placing bids until the bids from all but one BidBuddy run out.

Read about how the BidBuddy operates in the FAQ section on DealDash.com

If you have any other concerns please contact DealDash support for assistance. DealDash is the longest operating online auction site of its kind in the United States and has over 800,000+ registered American customers.

Additionally, DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on everyone's first purchase - no questions asked. It has been confirmed your first purchase has already been refunded back to you in full.

I agree with deal dash being a ripoff

AUTHOR: nancy - (United States of America)

Ive played on dealdash and won some gift cards and two items    I have not gotten one gift card in the mail and i was told that a batch went out after the date due to me   oct18   Still nothing in the mail

one item I did recieve today that I won after winning  gift cards  the 2nd item has not come yet

tonight was the night that did it for me on deal dash  .l  Bidding for ear rings, the page malfunctioned so many times.  It ate up my bids,  said I had  0 bids  left

My bid buddy had plenty of bids but  on and off it  showed no bids in  "bid now"

Id add bids to bid buddy at times  when it said I had none  but  it could not have used the ones that Ihad see in there seconds ago

It kept changeing  the amt of bids   that  I had in  "my bids"  that I had and I even bought more and it kept changeing the amount I had .  At times it said I had 0  bids

many more things  happened

I had a investment and tryed to keep things going on the bidding item

I had many bids in my bid buddy,  I had just added some

All if a sudden  it said    congratulations    "to some one else"

Aftr all I went thru    I lost

I used  a large amout of bids on bid buddy  so when I had to go to the bathroom  I didnt have to worry about watching the board       I was sitting at the pc  when this winner  came up

I have written to  dealdash  4 or 5 times tonight during all of this and gave them  my  phone #

and my cell phone #   no replys yet

Iwill add to this if  I hear from them to tell you the outcome
