the really messed up part is this happened before back in 2004. then i made the mistake of buying another dell against my better judgement-but their financing makes things alot easier-so i agreed to a 1,000$ purchase back in november. my budget for a new computer was 1,000$ & i was not to go over by strict orders from my wife. i called dell spoke with a rep and put together a nice XPS system(intrest free 1st year)-total was right over 1,000. more like 1,097. then my first bill comes in the mail & it says my total is 1,288. so i imediately call and of course i get bounced around india for 30 mins for someone to tell me im just SH!t outta luck. of course they cant explain why its 1200-insteAd of 1000. so i just give up and decide to pay it and never do business with dell again. I GET MY STATEMENT IN THE MAIL TODAY AFTER I BEEN PAYING MY PAYMENT FOR A YEAR AND MY NEW BALANCE IS 1,500$!! NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME MY ORIGINAL PURCHASE WAS 1,800! I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD AGREE TO 1,800$ ON A STUPID COMPUTER. SPECIALLY WEN I DIDNT EVEN WANNA SPEND 1,000! SO NOW CUSTOMER CARE IS SUPPOSED TO LISTEN TO THE CALL BUT WE ALL KNOW THEY WONT DO SH*T AND I WILL GET TIRED OF GETTING BOUNCED AROUND INDIA AND JUST PAY IT TO PROTECT MY CREDIT-DELL IS HIGWAY ROBBERY NOTHING BUT FREAKING CON ARTIST RIPPING PEOPLE OFF! THEY ALSO SCREWED ME OVER IN 2004!!!

You should have at least one itemized invoice (came with the computer) which would list everything that was part of your order, including shipping. What does this document state was the total cost of your order?
If you gave them an email address, then you would have had a second invoice emailed to you.
