When the 2nd computer arrived, it too died within days, with the same problems as the 1st computer. We again called Dell and asked for our money back. They refused and wanted to send another technician to our house. We continued to demand our money back, but they refused, saying that we were past the 30 days return limit. True -- for the 1st computer -- but not the 2nd computer. No matter to Dell -- they start counting from the 1st computer, even though we no longer had it, because we had mailed it back to Dell.
Ultimately, our only solution was to completely wipe the Dell and install another version of Windows, plus other software. Now the computer works, but my son paid $1400 for parts.
Problems with his computer -- would not hook up with internet; would not hookup with the printer; screen froze when booting up or for other reasons not apparent to us; keyboard was squeaky and "loose"; would not hook up with a network of computers (LAN party).
