I had over 24,000 and 3 years to use them. They randomly changed the rules, upping the expiration to 2 years, with NO NOTICE to me. When I tried to redeem my miles, I learned they had "expired." To add insult to injury, despite over 15 phone calls and 6 detailed letters they were unhelpful and sometimes even rude. My letters to customer service met with canned response letters that did not even address my issue.

If Delta is dishonest enough to change the expiration date of miles with no notice, who says they will not continue to do so? Perhaps they will decide that all your saved miles expire tomorrow. Don't bother flying with them and trying to save up miles because they will just cheat you out of them!!

Delta is dishonest and uncaring of customer loyalty or satisfaction. I'd rather walk than fly Delta ever again. Oh, and just for everyone's amusement, please not that you CANNOT call or e-mail Delta's Sky Miles customer service "it's fax or mail ONLY.
