Delta Airlines Delta refuses to refund ticket cost regardless of cancellation insurace. Internet

MY PERSONAL WARNING TO ALL KLM AND DELTA AIRLINES CUSTOMERS
 
I would be very interested in knowing how many other travelers have been railroaded and ripped off by these two airlines.
 
Last summer my wife and I had two fully paid return flights booked with KLM and we had also purchased cancellation insurance just in case. At our age you just never know.
 
Well, my dear wife of 51 years passed away a month before our departure dates. After Raija was laid to rest, my doctor urged me to stick to our original travel plan and go back to the old country on a visit which I did.

Upon my return I contacted the travel agency through which we had purchased our tickets and requested a refund for Raijas ticket. They did as requested and RBC promptly refunded the ticket price for the first leg of our trip. They also informed us that refund for the second leg of our trip with KLM had to be requested from Delta Airlines as they are KLM North American representative.

I called Delta four separate times and supplied them with all the information they themselves requested. Once this was done, Delta Airlines rep said that I have to have an agency to speak on my behalf from now on which my local travel agency happily agreed to do.

The next thing Delta Airlines told us that since the original cancellation was done by my ticket agency and not by me personally, I am not entitled to a refund.

ARE YOU GUYS FOR REAL? I WILL NEVER AGAIN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH KLM OR DELTA AS LONG AS I LIVE. I WILL SWIM ACROSS ATLANTIC IF I HAVE TO BUT I WILL NOT SET MY FOOT EVEN NEAR THESE CROOKS AGAIN.
