Department Of Human Services. State officials, were they just too lazy to help...? Guthrie Oklahoma

Okay, I am 17 years old and my son just turned two. I know blah "I'm young", Yeah whatever. Anyways, I had been on Tanf for over a year until January. I had to move into an old friends house, where he and his mother live. My son and I have been moving from house to house and finally my friend said, just come stay with me. We moved all of our things and I went to DHS and changed my address and all that good stuff. Well my caseworker called me in and asked about who I was living with. I told her my friend, a 19 year old male, (just a friend) and his mother. Well two weeks later I get a piece of mail saying that my tanf is being terminated due to the fact that my friend is OF AGE & HAS A JOB. No biggie, right.? No because the next day, I get another piece of mail saying that my daycare is also being shut off due to my friends earned income. Well I have done the appeals and they denied both of them, the day care and the tanf. I wasn't so much worried about the tanf because I have a part time job, however they put a two hundred dollar co-payment on my daycare. I am 17 years old, I am still in school and just can't afford it.

Well the first court date I had was over the tanf, well we lost that case. No biggie. However, when I lost the daycare, I was thinking something was going on because the man that was in the room with us said that when a male adult is living in the house it is automatically asummed that there would be a relationship. I honestly believe that the only reason they denied my daycare benefits is because they denied my tanf, and if they were to reinstate one they would have to reinstate the other. So, were they just being lazy, or was it a good reason.? Because DHS is supposed to help people, the only thing that they have done is take time from my son and i and caused a financial burden on us. I understand alot of it, but their job is to help young mothers get on their feet and be less dependent on the government later on but how will I ever get out of this mess if they keep digging me a bigger hole.?
