I was contacted by a company called 'department of legal affairs and investigations' they left me a voicemail claiming they needed me to contact them and if I didn't that they wish me luck on how my life will unfold. I was concerned so I called back to find out information. A Michael Carter (heavy middle eastern accent) told me I had a payday loan in my name from a company called us advance cash.

I told them I wasn't sure what they were talking about when he then threatened to either pay 748.33 or I would have a warrant out for my arrest and would pick me up from work. Being concerned I asked them what I should do. He instructed me to go down to wal mart place money on a card and fax them over paper work from the payday loan. After doing research over the weekend on the situation I did look at the better business bureau website they had spoke about this very situation.

I looked up online and seen others with the same numbers such as (415.329.4933, 213.261.6494, 626.239.3148) and the same names (Michael Carter, Michelle brown, Thomas Williams and Alex) I believe this to be a scam. My biggest concern is them having my info, and a coworker concerned in the situation paid 200.00 dollars to them. My goal from here and hopes is to catch these guys and get them off the streets. It disgusts me how these people could not have been caught. But I will do what it takes to help in catching these criminals.
