Desert Coastal Transport Inc. This does not pay, dishonest. Fontana, California

We are a mobile truck repair company. Yesterday we were called by Reuben at Desert Coastal Transport Inc. We were told that they need us after hours to go repair their refrigerated trailer. We were asked to bring an new battery because the refrigeration unit would not start and it was loaded with frozen food. So we dispatched a technician to pickup a battery and go to Torrance CA. to install it and then check to see if the battery was charging. This was a new customer so it was C.O.D., just when we were arriving with the new battery to repair the trailer refrigeration unit we received a call from Reuben to call off the repair and that they got the refrigeration unit started, we were told that they intended to pay us for our time. I was then told that his boss, who goes by J.V. needed to pay the invoice in the morning. After about 20 or more phone calls J.V. calls saying that they would pay roughly 1/3 of their bill. ..... Having no real recourse we received $95.00 out of bill for 282.50. The company knew we were not holding their trailer until the bill was paid so they decided to rip off our company. I hope anyone considering working for giving the work will know that this company does not keep their word and are not trustworthy. We sprang into action to repair their trailer after hours and trusted then to pay us for our services, that did not happen, beware.
