I just want to ask a couple questions,.

in all the comments & postings i find, about being successful in this buisness,. for people working for Rob or Designer's inc,.

Why doesn't anyone explain how long it took to actually get your office up and running after training?,.  or how many offices they have opened,. it almost seems like they're still currently seeking to open up their first office,.

you said you've been running your office for 6 years?.. if they say you get your own office after 9 weeks for avg person,.    you should have quite of few other offices up by now right?
 
and you say you've known rob for 6-7 years,.

roughly about how many offices does he have up and running?,.

and why is this company not rated by the BBB?,.

I see reports of people who feel mislead by owners of these independent distribution centers that get supplied by Scentura Creations... I have been part of the opportunity for 7 years... I have personally met each one of the regional and divisional managers who have passed the opportunity on to others... In fact, Rob and Ricki are two of the most hard working and honest people I have EVER met... They have been a direct positive influence in my life, for seven years now... When I hear people who really don't even know them, post judgement on them based off of 2 days, is silly to me..(politely said)!!

I started with a preliminary interview with the company, like EVERYONE does.  I Went through a final selection process, like EVERYONE does, and was excited after being explained what the opportunity consists of!!  I understood that with hard work, ambition, a positive attitude and committment, I was going to be able to manage a location of my own...  GUESS WHAT!!! it's ALL TRUE!!  

I am supplied the inventory at no investment up front, WHY? because I am entrusted with it and the money that it makes once moved..... Isn't that the point of business? to sell merchandise or a service? So once the inventory is sold, one needs to be responsible with the finances it makes, including the cost of merchadise to Scentura Creations.  

Oh and by the way, I DEFINATELY didn't have the credit, cash or investment needed to start up my own business.  Solely on the companies expense,  I was supplied, the education(training), inventory(fragrances), location(office) and the furniture to operate it!!!  

Long story short, I believed in the opportunity ROB and RICKI offered.  Yes, i worked my ASS off for it, which right there people aren't willing to do, especially in these times of days where hand outs are expected....   And I have been running my own location for over 6 years!!!  EVERTHING THEY SAID WOULD HAPPEN,,, DID!!!!  I appreciate Rob and Ricki on more than a business level, and am grateful for not prejudging them based off of what OTHERS feel after only just meeting them once and only knowing their name, NOT THEM!!

I came to the realization that if youve done what youve always been doing, youll get what you always gotten. I've worked for a company for I dont know how long, doing the same grind, and dont have much to show for it. Ultimately I realized that my lifes goals were not compatible with my cubicle.

I want to take vacations to places I want to go. Not just one of those once-in-a-lifetime, Im breaking the bank to go on this vacation, but the ones I can take where I can go and visit anytime I wanted to. Management wasnt in the cards for me at my previous jobs, either because of lack of experience or corporate politics.

I answered the ad, and at first I was a bit skeptical: Looking for entry level management positions, no experience necessary, will train. I picked up the phone and was surprised that the receptionist booked me for an interview without much of a fight. Normally Id have to twist a receptionist arm to get me an interview, talk to human resources, etc.

I have to admit, I wasnt sure if this was for me. The business model was unorthodox, but something told me to take a chance. Obviously what I was doing before wasnt getting the results that I wanted - time to make a change.

They were going to train me how to run my own business from all aspects, from the marketing of their product, to the administrative and accounting work. What they needed from me were some basic traits: a strong work ethic, able to push myself, and humility.

The business, while run a little differently, offers the benefits of owning your own business without many of the pitfalls, such as the need for direct capital investment. The people I work with are genuinely excited about where they're going, instead of dreading the next day.

Youll still have to work hard no matter what, and be willing to accept that the path to true success is one that may seem odd, but the growth potential isn't.

A year ago, I lived in Charleston SC, and like others feel to the scam of Scentura Perfume Creations or whatever its called. I had to job interviews that day and had to pick one over the other. I asked the lady if it involved sales at Scentura she said yes but I would be paid bi weekly at minimum wage. I went their and sat through all the presentations and "interviews". I then fell into the scam and started selling perfume, door to door and in parking lots. Did you know that you have to have a business license and a permit to do this? Did Scentura give me one? The answer is no, I was in the ritzy part of town going from boutique shop to boutique shop attempting to sell my perfume, when the cops were called on me. They demanded a business license I called my boss Ryan and Jenn they told me that I was on my own. I had to pay two hundred dollars in fees and go to court. This is illegal what they make you do, and it is embarassing anyone with any sense would not sell for this company or buy from them.

I would advise anyone reading this complaint to think twice about how credible it is.

It's a shame this site allows someone to post these kind of long-winded, unprofessional, and slanderous remarks about a business that they had dealings with for a day or two.

If you're used to working with people that hate their job, I guess when you see people who actually enjoy what they do, and take pride in the fact that they're providing an above average opportunity to average people, they might seem "jacked up on coke."

Designers International is for real, they provide a great training program and a legitimate chance at a career.  You don't pay a dime, you work hard in training for 2 or 3 months, and then you get your shot.

This is Nick Brunson, web-admin for Scentura Creations. Unfortunately, it seems theres a lot of negativity and false information circulating the internet regarding Scentura, and I think its based mostly on peoples misunderstanding of the
Scentura Opportunity. I thought Id post something brief that would help make things clear.

First of all, Scentura Creations is a manufacturer and supplier of rendition fragrances. They distribute their product line to Independent Wholesale Business owners throughout the U.S. Theyre unique in that they provide merchandise without any capital outlay to these Independent Wholesale Distributors , meaning they dont pay Scentura until after theyve sold the
merchandise. This is key because it removes a huge barrier of entry into business Inventory costs.

Second, the sales model used by most independent businesses that sell Scenturas products is that of Direct Selling. Its a business to business, face-to-face sales strategy that has worked for over 35 years. Its not glamorous, and its probably not for everyone, but it just works.

Last, and most importantly, Scentura doesn't ask you to invest any money, it's not a franchise, it's not a pyramid or multi-level marketing business, there's nothing to purchase, there are no sign-up fees.  The only thing required from you is your time and hard work, and youll get a chance to run your own business. How many companies out there are willing to offer that?

It probably sounds too good to be true, but it makes sense when you understand Scentura's incentive: It's a Win-Win scenario for everyone. You get a chance to own your own business, and Scentura gains a new customer, which means more volume. If Scentura only dealt with individuals who had hundreds of thousands of dollars to invest, they'd be waiting a long time, especially in this economy. So they're willing to take all the financial risk.

Again, this is not for everyone, but the opportunity is definitely real, and many owners have gone on to make six-figure incomes running their own businesses that sell Scentura's products.
