This is my story in regards to my moving experience with Destination Movers. In June 08 I moved from Danvers MASS to Richmond VA. Initially they gave me a great quote. The receptionist was a very pleasant lady. I do not recall her name but I believe it was Erica. I was quoted at around $1100 based on my description. Other companies offered around $100-$150 less, but Destination provided me with the quickest turnaround. No more than 4 days. This is where the nightmare begins.

After 5 days without my belongings I called them and asked for a status. I was told about 10 days. I reaction was not a pleasant one. I had planned my move in date around my expected household belongings. Now I would go 4 nights without a bed. After demanding why I was lied to I was floored by a gentleman named Ruben. His response was "that's not my problem". I work for the government and my response was "I will put you on the black list and you will never do business with government agencies ever again". His response was absolute appaling. Well then you gotta wait 21 days, if I'm blacklisted I'm never gonna have your business, why should I deliver your stuff"

The only saving grace was a gentleman named Yarim. He was able to intervene and bring some decency to this company. When the movers arrived they unloaded and brought my final total to $4,000. Their response was "there was alot more household goods then what you told us." An extra 3,000 dollars worth??!! I took the inventory and priced it around other companies and no one estimated it over $2,000.

Absolute horrific experience. These people do not care about your sentimental values. In addition the movers themselves said some not so flattering things about the moral fiber of the company they work for. Please by all means stay away from this company! I wish I could get my money back but it is gone, people learn from my mistake and gain some wisdom.
