In my opinion, Gassen Companies may very well be the worst management company in existence. Not only do they break multiple housing laws and regulations, they are also discriminatory as well. If you are thinking about dealing with Gassen Company or any property they manage, please head this warning very carefully. It may potentially save you from thousands of dollars, feeling like you are living in jail, and a loss of many years from your life.
A group of are doing something about the treatment we received from Gassen. This rip-off report is about a condominium project they manage.
Almost every one of our neighbors has filed complaints with Gassen Company aka Devonwood Condominium Association in Bloomington, Minnesota. They have had complaints against their craftsmanship of carpentry work, their workers, and their management of the property in general. The complaints range from lack of maintenance, dated common areas, poor communication, erroneous bills and fees, and even failure to comply by association by laws. They have even been sued due to negligence in the past.
You see, Devonwood condominiums have a board of directors that is out of tune with the population living there. They have created a good-ol-boys club, which means that they have regulation over the entire property. This board of directors may house the oldest members in the building. In many cases, they will incorrectly bill you, tow away vehicles for no reason, and even harass you through blackmail, threats, or non-action. In addition, any fault of theirs will not be corrected. The association is under financial pressure as home values in a lot of properties has plummeted causing many to go into pre-foreclosure. This is the reason for the illegal billing and constant fees.
I am writing this rip-off report to inform anyone that this thinking of using this company to refrain from doing so. I have been informed that a number of residents are going to be filing legal action against this company shortly. I have also heard of minorities and people of color being discriminated against, so please keep that in mind.
By using a loop hole through the BBB, their company has gotten a fake accreditation. They have over 19 complaints filed against them. The only reason they are accredited is because they respond to them, they never actually resolve any single one of the complaints. Please thoroughly research the internet on this company and you will find many people with online complaints begging you to not make the same mistake they made.
Please understand that you will be living in a nightmare that you cannot escape from if you choose this company for repair work, association management, or property management. I cannot stress this enough.
