Devry University they all sleep in the same bed

Yes indeed... Devry, University of Phoenix, Heald, the Arts Institute, and many others alike all do the same thing.They scam students of money! Most of these schools have managers that worked in each or some of the same institutions. Their upper level leaders were once from AI or UOP. They all sleep in the same bed and have the same nasty flees! They all just want student cash flow. They care nothing about the student. I heard one manager employee say to another..."we need to make our budget" whatever that means...it tells me students are numbers and dollar signs.

They have lavish parties at the end of the year calling it "PRIDE" or "TEACH SUMMIT" spending sometimes millions and giving away gifts to their employees and celebrating, drinking wine and dancing on how they scammed so many and how happy their sharholders are raking millions from poor lied to students. They have advisors (their slick and well trained sales people) making 60k, 70k, 90k and even some over six figures! They simply want "starts" I know all of this because I was a student worker and heard tons of crazy stuff that blew me away. I then fully completed my undergrad in EET and then went to interview for a major tech company.......The company bosses laughed at me and told me I just blew 4 years of my life and 80k of which I am still paying on! They told me to go get a real degree! Thus, I am (in the medical profession). I'm 25 years old and 61K in debt. I so regret ever going into a DVU interview.

The call it an interview but it's really a sales pitch and a bunch embellished nonsense. They force you to answer questions and funnel it down with "tie downs" or affirmation responses.  Things like..." Can you see how DV can help you get where you want to be". They give you all these stats that are skewed. For example 92% of students that attended DVU and graduated were employed within six months making 42Kper year. TOTAL FLAT OUT BLATANT LIE! They use numbers of students that were ALREADY employed before DVU without DVU career services assistance and they even use the numbers from employees that worked there and graduated with an undergrad. For and example...

One employee an advisor already working for DVU and making 78K decided he wanted a degree since it was free for him, so he completes everything online at his office desk, then he is included in the numbers as DVU career services helped and asisted in job finding. I asked the career services lady about this and she stated the President of the campus wanted it done that way to help show a nice figure for their campus. Isn't that just flat out unethical? The career service gal ended up quiting because that's just flat out misreppresentatation. Oh yea, now I want to mention that California stripped DeVry from receiving any Cal Grant money. That's our tax payer dollars for needy students.

I am glad Devry can no longer received Cal Grant. Why should a lowsy, lieing, cheating, worthless school like Devry be allowed to have lavish parties in the Florida Keys, Puerto Rico, and Las Vegas celebrating and paying their executives 100s of thousands fo dollars for scamming students and painting a pretty picture about being "the career university". They need to call themselves "the rip off university" Sure there may be a few good stories out there about DV but the reality is that there are far more bad experiences and scammed students than students that made it well. That alone speaks volumes.
