I've witnessed people who were fired and were able to go into another department.
I've also seen other people abuse their customer and still remain with getting away with it. I've seen people leave like literally on the spot got away with leaving for hours and then coming back and no one said anything on their shift. For this particular person who is the type never liked being late, always on time, and usually professional was wrongfully terminated. Their only real mistake was they had a relationship outside of work. So when someone found that out they kept a close eye on this person's workload and made it so this person's life would be a living hell.
In Dial America it was all about finding that one thing about that person's weakness
and making it look like oh this person's call was the worst ever. First of all many of those incoming calls you never know who you're gonna get. Second of all, Who's eyes wouldn't get tired after reading those 20 to 30 min long scripts depending on the person who filled in behind the desk that day? So it's easy to loose place and then continue where you left off. What customer wouldn't be annoyed with that ridiculous sales pitch?
The other problem with Dial America is when you tell them you need a break they force you to wait. So who wouldn't go crazy on their shift or loose their minds a little bit. I understand it's a sales job but it's the law to take a break. There's a fine line between what you define as harrassment Dial America. Harrassment works both ways. For this person who made a mistake was told by management oh you're doing an awesome job at first and then the moment that person or group of people found out who this person was with, it turned into foul hate crime. They suspended this person for a few days and when that person returned they made that person wait for hours before it was decided that this person was to be terminated. (That right there was harrassment of course no one in Dial America acknowledged that) If you're gonna fire somebody do it right away not make them wait.
So the cover up story was someone turned this person in and told on this person. The game keep was to keep track of everything this person does, pull this person in the office, and harrass this person over any mistake on bounced sales. It's amazing how technology works it's easy to change or alter the way someone handles a call it kind of makes you wonder. Work place bullying can happen it does exist and you don't know who you're true friends are until it's too late.
