Diamond R Custom Homes Buyer Beware---Builder is not Qualified to Offer a Custom Home---Ex Used Car Salesman Fort Worth Texas

Our home Diamond R built is full of issues.  We are in a very sought after neighborhood in N. DFW.   I wouldn't recommend this builder to an enemy.  No after sales service or willingness to adhere to the contract.  They are owned by Hildago and follow the same poor service model.

I have discussed with other buyers and all say the same thing.

Please ensure you are completely knowledgable of their capabilities, ie, Supply Chain, Sub Contractor List, Management capabilities and Financial.  Especially require a sub contractor list and request references from their customers and subs.  I would highly recomend to not allow them to manage the construction loan payments.

Builder always has an excuse and blames his sub contractors instead of holding himself responsible for the issues.  Informed many times that he couldnt finish a part of the build or finish out due to not being able to receive funds to pay his subs.  This would make the subs mad and they would leave the job site and he would have to go find new subs.  This equals no product quality control.  Those of you who have built a home understand the problems that arise from this.  Their cash flow is limited due to "robbing peter to pay paul".

What amazes me the most is the builder really believes he is doing a good job and has sold us a good product.  This is after delivering several pages of defects, poor workmanship, etc.

Builder is a salesman turned "Builder" or Project Manager after the first guy was ran off for embezzlement.  The point here is that he has no experience.

Don't close before the home is complete and a thorough walk is performed!!
