Diamonds International endorsed by Carnival Cruise Line Lied to, misled, conned, cheated, raked over the coals, completely swindled - need I say more! Cozumel, Q. Roo Mexico, Other

My family went on a Carnival Cruise (Triumph) in late August to Cozumel, Mexico. We were given a list of reputable merchants from the Carnival Cruiseline. Diamond International was highly recommended. My husband and I bought a diamond ring from store. It was listed as a 3 carat TW diamond consisting of 23 small stones.  We paid $2700.00 which DI said was such a bargain. COnsidering it was only small diamonds instead of larger one, we felt the price was not that great but the ring looked amazing. We were even able to take ring outside to see if in the sun. It was beautiful. We needed it sized so Diamond International told us to come back to the store in around 2 hours. We waited and returned to get ring just before our ship was departing (how convenient for DI). I had returned to ship with our children as my husband picked up ring. He had to hurry back onboard. As soon as he left store he opened ring box to again admire the sparkling diamonds. [continued below]....

..... Instead, it was dull, cloudy, and just plain cheap looking. He knew that it was definitely NOT the ring we had purchased but the ship was leaving and the saleslady who sold us the ring told us that we had 30 days to return ring if not satisfied--LIAR-

- As soon as we got home we contacted Diamond International to return ring only to be told that the ring WAS the ring we chose (not true) and the ONLY returns are for online purchases only. They told us that if we sent them back the ring that they would issue us a credit towards another ring. Yeah- well the merchandise that Diamond International has listed online is so over priced that of course we could never buy another ring and considering they did not even give us the ring we purchased, how could we ever trust them anyway! They lied to us. They misled us. They cheated us. We are now stuck with a cheap ring.  And, in addition, the paperwork that accompanied the ring is so unprofessional that it looks like it came out of a gumball machine! Beware of DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL. Do not be cheated like we were!
