Complaint Review: Dillard's
Dillard'sStones River Pkwy - Stones River Mall Murfreesboro, Tennessee U.S.A.
Dillard's - Stones River Mall Dillard's is THE most poor company to work for....they lie to you, illegally violate federal laws by stating you do not receive breaks/lunch-dinner time for hours worked. They tell you it's a "privelege" to work for Dillards. Ha Ha! Obviously the corporate HR Dept is in complete denial as they do not notice the severe turnover at the M'boro store. Tracy Graves, the Mgr, is a complete loser Murfreesboro Tennessee
*UPDATE Employee: The grass is not always greener...
They actually employee very young managers who are not given basic training on HR guidelines and employment law. They frequently inform employees they are NOT to receive fifteen minute breaks or lunch/dinner breaks. That's a FEDERAL LAW!! If you work six hours, yes...you are legally REQUIRED to receive a thirty minute lunch/dinner break! Is Dillard's REALLY that ignorant? I think not, they are just that arrogant, and the store Manager, Tracy Graves, allows this and MUCH, MUCH more to go on. The Federal Labor Board will crawl up your arrogant retail rear end and sprout wings!! I wouldn't put it past them to next come out with "you are to receive NO PAY since it's SUCH a privelege to work here."
Obviously their corporate HR Department refuses to note the continual turnover/firings that take place on a CONSTANT basis at the Murfreesboro, TN location. Gee, has anyone in upper management ever been educated on "employee retention"? Obviously NOT! Employees are approached by Security and Management in front of customers and accussed of stealing...no proof offered. No reprimands taken, just accusations. Oh yeah...it's SUCH a privelege to work at Dillards! Tracy Graves and his team of highly incompetent managers are so extremely poor at doing their jobs, it's amazing the store actually manages to function. The only reason the doors are open...that building is paid for! And what "higher up" in their right mind would choose NOT to connect to the adjacent mall for goodness sakes? What "higher up" would put ONE bathroom in the entire two level store? You have to go upstairs to the complete opposite end of the store in order to relieve yourself. Quite inconvenient to customers. And they very much notice that. That's why, Mr/Ms. "Higher Ups", they pack the mall and shop there...instead of coming in your store! Consumers take their business and money to the updated Avenue shops instead of your well known poorly run retail store. Shame on ALL of you for allowing such to continue. Mr. Graves...you need to be sent packing. Your own fellow corporate managers cannot even stand you. The Dillards family obviously does not care to protect the Dillards name nor the business the family created. Ever heard of chapter 13? It's happening a lot these days and THE quickest way to ensure you get to that point....continue with poor management and poor HR practices, complaints by customers, lies to the very employees who make money for you. Poor moral = poor working environment and employees who DO NOT care one way or another if your business fails or not. Keep up the great work, Dillards. You should be in deep decline...soon!
