DirecTV Lies told by DirecTV cost me hundreds El Segundo, California

Promised to waive early cancellation fee due to "issues" and complaints I had after their refusal to do 1 move for free.  This was AFTER seeing an advertisement where they claim they will move your service free of charge.  First of all, they did not disconnect our service on the date promised which was Aug 1, 2012.  We were moving on that date, so we never went back to the house to check and actually see if it was disconnected.  (my bad) I really thought they knew what to do, but evidently not. Service was FINALLY disconnected in November 2012 for "nonpayment."  This was WAY AFTER calling them and placing an order and had a very lengthy conversation regarding the early cancellation fees and their agreement to waive them for us.  Months later. 

Move forward and now, they have debited my bank account for over 300 bucks.  I've spoken with a billing supervisor who was not at all helpful and just said "there is no record" of my cancellation. He placed the blame on me. Didn't even offer to lend a hand. 

If their customers are to BLAME for their outrageous, how come they have SO many billing complaints here, there, and everywhere?  Take a look at the BBB.  There are over 10,000 billing complaints there.  Something is rotten somewhere.  Thanks DirecTV for padding your already loaded pockets with my electric bill money!  We will REALLY appreciate that when our house is cold and dark this winter.
