Direct Buy of Sarasota located on US301 in Manatee Co. promised us Hundreds and Thousands of Dollars in savings if we joined their Club. After a couple of hours of "Hard Sell" nogeotiation on thier part with a "Now or Never Approach" they convinced us to join. They promised us we could save all this money on everyday items that we would be purchasing anyway from over 700 manufactures. After we gave them almost $5000.00 we found out that they "LIED" to us. We were told that we would be given access to the members only web site with our paid membership. Our paid membership came with a "3 Day Refund Policy". It took 4 days to get our access to the "Members Only" website. Once we reviewed the "Members Only " website we realized that they "Do Not" have competive prices on the items they offer. I have found that I can buy Appliances, BBQ Grills, and other in home items such as fans and cooking uteinsils at or below the prices that "Members" have to pay. On the 4th day, after reviewing their website for less that 1 day, I requested a refund. They did not reply. I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. They did nothing except waist about 5 weeks of my time and then told me that Direct Buy has the right to refuse a refund after only 3 days when it takes them 4 to 5 days to deliver on what you pay for. I can and will summit examples, if neccesary, of items available thru Direct Buy that are also available on line with very little effort on my part to prove they lie about the savings they claim. All I want is a refund of my membership fee and I will go away. They are offering a FREE 30 day membership, what is the differance if they give me a refund and just call it a free trial that did not work?
