On January 3rd, 2013 my father passed away, within a week his direct express mastercard he had gotten from the social security department was cancelled, leaving $260.00 on the debit card. I contacted direct express and i was mailed a letter informing me of what i needed to do and what papers i needed to release the funds. Around the beginning of March i mailed all necessary forms, death certificate and notarized forms. I was told it would be 4-6 weeks before i got a check in the mail.here i am 16 weeks later with no check. i talked to someone from the company a few times and was told it should be any day. But that has yet to happen
