My husband and I signed up for Direct TV when we lived in Spokane and enjoyed the service with no problems. Then my husband was transferred to a new city so we called Direct TV and informed them of our move they told us to take all the equipment with us and then they would send a technician to do the installation. However they had a line of sight issue and they were unable to install so they sent out a more qualified tech and he could not get a line of sight either (even though dish came out and got one, now we have dish) so we called the main office of DTV and they were appologetic and said we will send you boxes to return the equipment after a couple of weeks we still had not recieved the boxes. We called to inform them and the idiots who had been to our new address twice sent them to our old address.They informed us we will send them again about a week later we recieved one box that only fit the main reciever but we also had two smaller recievers that would not fit. So my husband called and again they sent them to our old address again! So in the interrum of waiting for these boxes they charged our account with out informing us they were doing so which caused our account to go negative.
Now I have other payments due that I will have to borrow money for. My hsuband called just to get the run around they said "well we have'nt recieved the eqipment from you so you were charged when we get it back we will refund you." My husband argued it was THEIR fault not ours they have not recieved the equipment because they couldn't even send the boxes to the right place and how can WE do our part when WE have not been given the opportunity to do so? He had to explain this over and over and asked several times to speak to someone who could actually understand what he was saying. At the end of a 45 min call we got no where. So my account had $125 in NSF fees and we have to wait for these damb boxes, then lord only knows how long till we get our money back...SO FRUSTRATED!!! If they would have at least had the dignity to inform us of these bogus charges I could have prepared for them or stopped them from doing so by explaining THEIR mishap..but no w have to pay for THEIR mistake...This should be illegal to take money with out informing the client they are doin so. We did not use a CC we used our checking account so I guess they think they just have free access.
