Well, the bill finally did arrive and was for the full cancellation fee of $240 & despite repeated attempts to have it removed, I've not gotten anywhere. I talked to another rep who said the case was escalated with the management team & they refused to remove or pro-rate the charge. This rep gave me another date for the equipment upgrade -- May of 2008 -- and that there was nothing she could do but send my original signed contract. What they sent me was a generic term & condition pamphlet without any reference to my account and no signature. So then I went online to pull e-statements to trace back when the new upgrade took place, but was not allowed to pull up any statements.
Direct TV has been horrible to deal with and I will tell everyone I come into contact with to be wary of doing business with them due to this experience.
