Direct TV They will take your money out of your checking account without your permission Minneapolis Minnesota
*Consumer Comment: Guess you did not read your paperwork
*Consumer Suggestion: Sounds just like another DirectTV customer who had the service for less than two years..
Direct TV is a total rip off. After several calls letting them know that their equipment was faulty I cancled my account. Before I could send them back the equipment they drafted my checking account without my permission $650.00. This was only two weeks after reciving the boxes to return them. I would strongly recomend never using this provider. The equipment is faulty and the customer service is by far the worst I have ever seen.

Once you sign up for Directv you sign a 2 year agreement. I have had this service for 10 years and I did know when I signed up it was a 2 year agreement so this one is on you. No ripoff.

then cancelled and incurred the pro-rated early termination fee. The contract you signed when you got service had that provision and also one that allowed them to collect any monies owed them from whatever means they had on file for your account. You obviously didn't read it and still haven't. There are no provisions in the contract allowing you to avoid that fee which covered the installation and provision of equipment. Now when you sign up for another provider, like Dish or Comcast, you'll find (IF you read the contract) that they have similar provisions. There also is a time limit to return their equipment without penalty. If you had ordered any PPV movies that hadn't been billed, they'll also include those in the final bill.
