This is the report I e-mailed to Direct TV to resolve this problem with their recievers, after service reps (2) failed to understand the problem.
Both HD recievers when auto tuned tune in shows one minute early 2:59 instead of at 3:00 as set and displayed. I recieved a reply via e-mail telling me to call tech support at the following number 1 888-667-7463.
This rep tells me the reciever was designed to tune in a minute ahead of time on purpose. This is so we can see trailers and the like before the show autotuned. Never mind it cuts off the show you were watching before the end ruining the ending.
I don't know who came up with this idea, but it's a relly bad one. This used to be a usefull feature on satelite and cable provider recievers now it's practically useless.
