DirectBuy - Direct Buy Of Fort Myers Florida High Pressure sales, not a deal as stated, ripoff, little savings Fort Myers Florida

I went to DirectBuy and fell for the high pressure sales pitch. The cost was around $5,000.00 plus a yearly fee.

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SALES PITCH YOURSELF. Save your $5,000.00

I have since figured out that I would have to buy about $50,000.00 of merchandise to make up my $5,000.00 membership fee. in my opinion.

Their sales pitch is that you pay what other retailers pay, which is not true. You see they get 8% on what you purchase on almost everything that you buy there. Plus shipping and handling. Plus if you do not like what you purchased you cannot return it to DirectBuy as with a reputable retailer. Retailer don't make much more plus add Shipping and Handling and you are at retail price in most cases. I priced DirectBuy member prices with Home Depot and found that Home Depot was way cheaper than DirectBuy.

Where was the savings???

If you have a problem with your purchase from DirectBuy, forget it. They are not helpful at all. And according to another DirectBuy member, I see that if you complain DirectBuy will kick you out by voiding your membership. So keep your mouth shut or get screwed more.

DirectBuy sells you memberships by telling you about all of the savings you will get by buying from them. They show you the MSRP of retailers. What they don't tell you is that retailers do not sell at MSRP so what DirectBuy is showing you as savings is not true.

DirectBuy states that they sell to you for their cost which I believe is very untrue and a total lie as I happen to know that DirectBuy as with other retailers gets volume rebates from the manufactures and I have never heard of a DirectBuy Member getting a refund from the DirectBuy volume rebate. Members do not get true cost.

They spend allot of money on TV advertising and telemarketing. The have a boiler room in the back of the showroom where they house their telemarketers. Where do they get the money to do all of this? Selling at cost?

I would think that DirectBuy would be a good source for a class action suit.

Do NOT join DirectBuy, save your money.
