Discovery School Tarzana, Sheri Has No Clue my child was attending the school at one point. i took them out because all the people who work there have been there for 20+ years and have no patience to each or play with them. after 3:00 there is no snack for the kids. tuition is 935 a month and thats not enough to feed them a snack. if you ever have a problem good luck talking to the secretary sheri. she is automatically in attack mode. This will be my 6th year at Discovery School (3 years with my first child and starting my 3rd year with my second child).  We have had nothing but positive experiences here.  The staff is helpful, friendly and takes a genuine interest in the well being and happiness of our children.  The teachers are second to none.  Nurturing, kind, fantastic teachers.  My older child was more than prepared for kindergarten and my younger one seems already ready even with one more year to go.  The children are well fed a variety of foods and they even work around my children's dietary concerns without me having to bring in food from home.  This school is fantastic and any child would be happy here.  I recommend it to friends whenever I have the chance.  I'm sorry this person's experience wasn't a positive one, but everyone I know is completely happy with Discovery School.

We had a wonderful experience, all around. Cherie, Eyde and the rest of the staff were always there every morning greeting every parent and child with big smiles and positive attitudes.

#1 was Cherie, navigating all of us parents, she personally helped me countless times, and was always there if we needing anything.  I could not have made such a smooth transition without her wisdom.

She is a delightful human being, extremely competent and we were always secure in the fact our kids were in loving, patient hands each day.

The teachers and staff were always cheerful, warm, helpful and simply fantastic with all the children. My daughter thrived in this environment, and was well prepared for kindergarten. We were blessed to have the teachers of whom make Discovery such a desirable and distinguished school.

Those that have longevity, are still there due to their capability and desire for a strong education for each child. I do, and will always highly recommend this precious preschool to anyone. No complaints here. To each his own, but, your one or two personal bad experiences, should in no way ding an amazing school like Discovery.  Our daughter, two older children, my husband and I truly loved our time at Discovery School.

I'm responding to Brenda's comments to say I have had the absolute opposite experience at Discovery School.  The teachers and staff are so caring and loving and its been the best experience for both of my children who attend / have attended.  Cheri always has a smile on her face and is helpful anytime I have needed anything - my daughter was so attached to her last teacher she has spent the entire summer talking about how much she misses her.  It's too bad one person's negative opinion could potentially stop other families from sending their kids to Discovery School - we have been 100% happy with the school, its teachers and the staff.  My child just finished kindergarden and was more than prepared when he got there thanks to the teachers he had at Discovery. Also, the majority of the teachers are young and all of them, regardless of age, are enthusiastic and caring.

My 4 year old daughter has been attending Discovery School in Tarzana for the last 2 years and is about to start her third year. It saddens me to see how one angry parent could ruin the reputation of such an amazing preschool.

Discovery School is one of the most nurturing places any child could experience; it's their home away from home. The teachers, staff and Director could not be more dedicated to our children, their environment and learning experiences.

The curriculum is fantastic and prepares the children for a positive experience in Kindergarten. Discovery School graduates are sought after by most private and public elementary schools for that very reason.

The menu (cooked daily by the school's chefs) is healthy and nutritious and often times herbs and vegetables grown by our children are incorporated.

The Parent Association is a dedicated group of volunteering parents who work hard to enrich the curriculum and make the kids' preschool experience like no other.

I toured several schools before applying at Discovery. I knew from the very beginning that I had found the perfect environment for my (then) 2 year old. I have not looked back once and my only wish is that they added an elementary camp so that my daughter could spend another 6 years at Discovery!

Please do not allow one bitter parent to steer you away from this amazing school. If you don't believe me take a tour. We even have a farm with animals and our own fresh eggs!!
