Dish Network - Echostar Echo Star Contacted us to redirect the dish. Then charged us $95.00. Called C.S., e-mailed, no response. Internet
*General Comment: You don't need satellite TV
DISH CONTACTED US VIA MAIL THAT THEY NEEDED TO COME OUT AND RE-DIRECT OUR DISH. THEY CAM OUT AND MOVED THE DISH AS A TREE COULD NOT BE. THE TECH SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT BURY THE CABLE AS IT WAS NOT ALLOWED BY DISH (WOULD TAKE TO LONG). I TOLD HIM TO LEAVE ENOUGH CABLE (10') AND THAT WE WOULD BURY IT. HE DID NOT LEAVE ENOUGH CABLE SO I CALLED DISH. AFTER GETTING 5 PEOPLE THAT COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH I FINALLY GOT SOMEONE TO ADDRESS IT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT DISH IS RESPONSIBLE TO BURY THE CABLE. 2 HOURS AND 42 MINUTES LATER OF BEING ON THE PHONE WITH VARIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS THAT WILL EITHER PUT YOU ON HOLD OR JUST DISSCONNECT YOU, THEY FINALLY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE TECH. COME OUT AND ADD MORE CABLE. HE CAME OUT ADDED MORE CABLE AND DISH ADDED $95.00 TO MY BILL FOR A SERVICE THAT DISH CONTACTED ME TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE. I SENT 2-EMAILS, THEY SENT ME A COMPUTER GENERATED E-MAIL SAYING THEY RECEIVED THEM AND WOULD GET BACK TO ME WITHIN 24 HOURS. NO RESPONSE. TWO DAYS LATER THEY SHUT OFF MY SERVICE. I CALLED AND THEY SAID THAT THE CUSTOMER (ME) REQUESTED TO SHUT IT OFF. I GUESS THAT'S HOW DISH DEALS WITH A DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER. LET'S NOT CALL THEM AND TRY TO MAKE AMMENDS, LETS JUST SHUT OFF SERVICE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT SAID HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. HE TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $20.00 TO TURN THE SERVICE BACK ON AND I HAD TO PAY IT UP FRONT AND THEN I COULD TALK TO HIS SUPERVISOR OVER THE $95.00 CHARGE ADDED TO MY BILL. THE SUPERVISOR GOT ON THE PHONE AND AS I WAS TRYING TO TELL HIM (DISH) THE STORY FOR YET ANOTHER TIME, HE HUNG UP. YES THE $95.00 CHARGE IS STILL THERE AND $20.00 TO TURN ON A SERVICE THAT i DID NOT SHUT OFF. ALL OVER (DISH) CONTACTING ME TO REDIRECT MY DISH. CUSTOMER SERVICE SURE HAS GONE BY THE WAYSIDE.
