IN MAY OF 2005 WE DECIDED TO GET DISH NETWORK THEY WANTED A CREDIT CARD FOR SECURITY PURPOSE. IN NOVEMBER WE DECIDED TO CANCEL AND PAY THE TERMINATION FEE. DISH NETWORK DECIDED TO USE THE CARD WE GAVE THEM FOR SECURITY PURPOSE AND TAKE OUT 500 DOLLARS WITH NO APPROVAL WHAT SO EVER. WE CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY STATES THAT IS WHAT WE DO, I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER THEY REFUSED. WENT TO MY BANK, THE BANK STATED THEY ARE ABLE TO DO THIS, FILED A COMPLAIN WITH BBS AND ATTORNEY GENERAL IN NY

Don't Despair! Get Your Money back!

Whatever you do; don't give up! You CAN get your money back. We have found with our bank, that it sometimes takes several phone calls (each with a different bank rep.) to finally get some justice. Some are willing to help and soem are not. First and foremost, take a good look at the "Agreement" you may have signed with Dish or their sub-contracted "boobs". Contract, or no contract, if they charged over a specified amount for "canceling" service, that is fraud. It doesn't matter if Dish already had your credit card number. These days, if a thief gets a hold of your card, they will more than likely incur charges on it, right? Sadly, it happens more often than none. If your bank still refuses to help you, then contact the main credit card provider. That is VISA or MASTERCARD (Discover, whatever it may be). These companies will strive to satisfy a consumer that has been taken advantage of. Good job on filing a complaint with BBB and your State Attorney General's office. More people need to do that. The more complaints received, the more likely a serious investigation will be brought against a company. Dish will claim that they are allowed to charge your card, when in fact, they cannot.

Unfortunately they have been getting away with it for this long, they will continue. And most importantly; the smoke may not have cleared yet. Prepare for the worst and cancel your card and get a replacement card right away. Dish may or may not attempt another charge on your card in the future (depending on how lucky you are or aren't). Use all of your resources and fight it to the end!!
