We have been a customer of Dish Network since 2007.  That is five years we have paid over 130 to 140 dollars a month to them.  I admit I have gotten a little behind in payments, but have always paid them.... for five years.  In February, I went to make a $150.00 payment online, on their website, which I had always done before.  It told me it DID NOT GO THROUGH and to please try again later.  I waited a little while... then tried to do it again.  For $150.00.  It told me ONCE AGAIN, IT DID NOT GO THROUGH to please try again.  We are on a fixed income and have so much allowed for all of our bills, and this is our only source of entertainment, so yes, we splurge on tv.  I checked my checking account that afternoon and BOTH PAYMENTS for $150 came out of my checking account.  I immediately got on chat with them, online and asked them to put one of the payments back in my checking account right away, as it will cause checks to bounce.  They told me I had to wait 24 hours, then get in touch with them about the request to transfer the money back.  Which I did.  They told me that they would indeed do that, but it would take 3 to 5 days for it to go back in.  Of course I had checks bounce.... which made my account go even deeper in debt and cause more checks to bounce as you all know, they charge 29.00 to bounce a check and then I had to pay to pick them up.  This was on the 14th. 

On the 22nd there was still no money deposited in my account so I chatted with them again, and was told it was cancelled on the 15th, approved on the 21st and it would be in the bank within 3 to 5 days.  I also asked them why my account was not showing the other $150 payment that I made on my account.  They then told me they had refunded the whole $300 instead of only $150.   I told them they were idiots.... and the money had not yet gone into the bank... plus I had extra bank charges for bad checks which THEY CAUSED.  AND THEN THEY SHUT US OFF!!!!!  They would not turn on our service.... after five years... with it being their fault... with me talking to alot of different people... they said we had to pay $444.00 to have it turned back on.  NOW they are telling me (after I have switched to DirectTV) that I have to send the two receivers back to them or they are going to charge me for them too.... they say I signed a contract and they are leased.  My contract expired three years ago.  I only had a two year agreement with them. 

I would like to know if there is a class action lawyer that would help me sue them... as I know if they took payments out of my account twice that day... and then have the nerve to shut us off, they did it to other folks as well.  They said they shut us off cuz it showed no payment since January..... BUT THEY TOOK TWO PAYMENTS OUT OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT and had it for over a week.  What do I do?????Do I have to send the receivers back?
