Just signed up with dish network a couple months ago for tv and internet service.  Both tv and internet have been pretty hit and miss since the start.  Sometimes it works--sometimes it don't.    No real solutions offered.  Spoke to a customer NO service rep tonight regarding slow internet service.  He informed us about the monthly limit on internet usage, and said that we were over the limit, and that was why the service was slow.  Well now, that was the first we had heard about any usage limit.  Did not come up at all in the sales pitch at all.

Also, got a "free" 3 month trial of HBO and several other channels.  Was told that it would be free for 3 months and then we could cancel if we did not want it and we would not be charged.  So within a week or so, I got on "MYDISH" account and cancelled all the free stuff at the end of the free period.  Just got the bill the other day, and guess what!  Over $200 for the "FREE" channels.  Apparently they count on people not paying any attention to their bills, and just going ahead and paying whatever they say is due.  This probably works extra good when you do the automatic pay deal they promote for your convenience.

All in all, we were totally lied to by the sales guy, and almost taken to the cleaners by their credit card fraud attempt.  I would advise everyone to be extremely careful when dealing with these con-artists, and keep in mind that whatever they tell you is in all likelihood a lie.  Be sure and check your bills carefully.

Becki, I already got the charges removed.  As I said, I cancelled the free stuff at the end of the trial period on mydish within a couple weeks of signing up, so it was not  like after the bill was sent.  Just lucky that I happened to notice the excess charges.  Thanks.

I apologize for the charges that you received on your bill. We do bill a month in advance, and if the programming removed after the bill is generated and sent out, the paper bill will show those charges. When you view your bill at mydish.com or have us review it for you, the price will have decreased because you removed that programming.
