I entered into a month to month with dish network, (thanks to my good credit) I didn't want the free 3 month premium channels, I just wanted the basic, which was to be 35.00 a month. all was well for the first few months, then i noticed, my bill went to 40.00, then 45.00. wait a minute, they told me my bill would be 35.00 for what channels I had. I called them on it, they gave me a 5.00 credit, then the next bill that came in was 45.00, plus they charged me for 3 separate "pay per views", 15.00,25.00 and,30.00.
All movies were purchased between 5:30am 10:00am in the morning. I was working, from 5am-2pm. So I wasn't even at home when they were purchased. The first time this happened, i called them up they credited my account that one time.the next couple of months i was charged for more movies, i did not order. i call them on it again, they said they had already credited me and were not going to credit my account anymore.
then my daughter was in a near fatal car accident and was life-flighted to another state. I was almost a week late sending in my payment that month. they took my payment for that month, then cancelled my service, turned my tv off, then charged me 150.00 to terminate the service-them not me, then 2 days after that, they charged me 400.00 for my equipment. keep it in mind, they knew i wasn't even watching the tv, I was in another state with my daughter.
They had charged my credit card almost 600.00 by that point. They were unsympathetic for my situation, never even sent me a box to send the equip back......i talk about them every chance i get (negatively!) they even had the nerve to report me to the credit bureau. They were wrong to take advantage of my situation, they still say I owe them!
