Signing in through Disqus to comment on a webite is not a mere formality or way to verify who is logging in to comment! Even if you select "Login woith Facebook" your personal information is ported to Disqus.
Look at the Disqus website homepage; it is obvious they are selling personal information and brokering huge amounts of data with very little in the way of disclosure. Disqus also attempts to track you across the Web as is shown if you are using "Do Not Track" and "Disconnect".
Beware of Disqus, they could be providers of personal information to the National Security Agency, as are many other seemingly benign Web companies such as Yahoo and Google. Block all the creeps with "Do Not Track" and "Disconnect" and choke off your supply of personal information to the brokers.
You will be shocked at what using those two apps reveals -- I promise.
