This company is a fraud in the following areas:

Pricing - They will claim you have "won" a discount, credit, etc. after you fill out a card at an event.  They will only inflate their price by the same amount before a sales call.

Business Practices - They gather marketing names by entering people in drawings for "free" home improvements and cash that don't ever happen.  High pressure sales tactics force you to make a decision that day or face a "punishment" of a higher price the next day.

Product claims - They will claim that many of their products achieve certain performance levels.  For example, they will claim their window film will reduce energy costs by 40% even though the manufacturer themselves state it cannot surpass 12%.

Watch out - This company engages in high pressure, fraudulent business practices.

Dixie Homecrafters -

AUTHOR: Hammerhead - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 02, 2011

Actually, Dixie Homecrafters offers consumers a free assessment of the homeowner's specified needs - as identified by the homeowner.  Dixie Homecrafters DOES NOT offer free home improvements but have been known to offer a free waterheater blanket.

All claims made by Dixie Homecrafters concerning products offered have been substantiated to be true and accurate so long as the representative makes no unauthorized claims concerning the product(s).  Further - no money changes hands before the customer is 100% satisfied...no downpayment, no lowballing to get the job.  Further - the Company offers high quality products at the best possible price - has trained and fully qualified 1099 employees who install only the products sold by the Company - they work for no one else because they keep busy right where they are. Concerning 'high pressure tactics' - the representative has the obligation to actually show the consumer the product(s) so the consumer can make an informed buying decision - it's the right thing to do so the consumer is comparing apples to apples in regard to quality and price.

If you want cheap - go buy cheap - and have a cheap looking product installed by the lowest bidder - or you can make an investment in your home with a fully transferable warranty on all the products installed.  The choice is yours.
