I am a former customer of Donald T. Enterprise. I recently came across this absolutely ridiculous and inaccurate post regarding Donald T. Enterprise and wish to say me piece regarding these inaccurate remarks that are regarded as "fact" by this "disgruntled" consumer. I hired Gene Addison to do work on my home back in March or April of this year which appears to be about the time this "report" was filed. I cannot speak for the consumer who filed this report, but I personally did not hire Mr. Addison because of any sort of "false advertisement." I chose his company because numerous other people on my block worked with Addison previously and he came highly recommended! From start to finish, my interactions and experiences with Gene Addison were professional, courteous, and above all, HONEST! Addison even provided a list of former customers I could contact to ask them personally about their experience with the company and their satisfaction with the work that was completed. Mr. Addison not only completed work that was agreed upon in our contract, but went ABOVE and BEYOND and even did extra work at no charge until I was completely happy with the job. Regarding the "spelling errors" that the creator of this thread is poking fun at, I would just like to point out that automatic spell-checkers on Microsoft Word and other such programs can easily make mistakes, and I never once noted that he "doesn't know English a lot." If you want to get technical, it seems the original poster has an even weaker command on the English language as "bancrucies" should be bankruptcies etc. I am not nit-picking here, but just trying to prove a point that this is an awful thing to hold against someone. It could have easily been an error by the printing company hired to do his fliers!

Second of all, I could be round about this, but I am fairly certain it is illegal to post license plate numbers and home descriptions over the internet, and I am curious as to how this got past the Webmaster of this site. It is obvious that this disgruntled individual has posted this information hoping that an equally angry consumer will come forward and cause deliberate harm to Mr. Addison and his family.  The reason I say this is because during the time that Mr. Addison was completing a job for me, there was a very sketchy person following him to my home. One day, we were in Home Depot shopping for materials (Yes, Mr. Addison allowed me to accompany him to shop for materials - not the act of a crook in my opinion) and this same man came into the store threatening Mr. Addison with all kinds of ridiculous things such as wearing a sign on his neck and parading around the street calling out "Crook, Thief" and threatening to post such signs on his own property. I believe the man making this report is that same crazy individual. It is in fact, HIS credibility that I would question - Not Gene Addison's.  I know of several other individuals who have had work done by Mr. Addison since, I said, i was referred to him by these individuals. They would be happy to provide more rebuttals against this completely unfounded report! If you ask me, the individual posting such things should be the one under law enforcement scrutiny. Do not let ONE individual's skewed perspective prevent you from knowing the truth and poison you. You cannot believe everything you read. This is why I chose to go by word of mouth when choosing the contractor for my job. I believe things when I see them, and what I saw and experienced was a genuinely caring, hard-working, and honest man who is just trying to make ends meet like the rest of us. I have no clue why someone who accuse him of drug-trafficking and I think this is the most discrediting aspect of the previous consumer's testimony.  Also, to set the record straight regarding a person named "Caroline Addison" - I was given Mr. Addison's home number in case of any problems or questions and spoke to his wife - Carol. She is in no way affiliated with the business but merely answers the phone when it rings as any wife would in her own home.

Eugene F. Addison is violating Worker's Compensation Law by hiring uninsured people paid cash "off book". He is still acting as deceptive contractor hunting for down payments. If you want to avoid RIP-off, please be aware!!!

This person pretends to be a contractor who can handle variety of home improvement work, but it is deceptive. Affected area is Syracuse, NY and vicinity.

The name of this business is Donald T. Enterprise. It is owned by Eugene F. Addison, acting as vice-president, who calls himself "the owner", and his wife Caroline A. Addison (aka) who is the president, according to Addison Eugene F. statement. This business has no regular part time / full time employees, but it hires uninsured workers. Eugene F. Addison usually is undertaking construction tasks such as: home improvements, all types of interior/exterior painting, chimney repair and repainting, driveway sealing / new driveways, waterproofing basements, all types of concrete work, gardening and landscaping, aluminum siding, windows replacement, sunrooms and so on This is a very long list. In the flyer, company claims that is FULLY INSURED, but the truth is, it definitely does not have any insurance. Company claims that "KNOW JOB IS TO SMALL". That how it is stated exactly in their flyer!!!

The methods used by Eugene F. Addison are as follows. He knows very well how to make money on down payments, usually he demands 50% down, and later he walks away from the project when work progress reaches approximately 20% to 30%. If customer complains, he knows what to say. Usually it is; quote: Oh, we agreed to do 50%, you paid 50%, so we are even!!! unquote.

This person has 13 unpaid judgments at Onondaga County Court. There are attorneys from serious collection agencies trying to get money from him in order to discharge his judgments, but so far nothing is accomplished in this matter.
Eugene F. Addison owed to People of New York State total of $ 35,582.00 (not including accrued interest). This situation lasts since 1992. Amount he owed grows, number of judgments he did not pay grows, but somehow nobody has attempted to investigate his business and income yet. This case qualifies for Attorney General Office attention, investigation and prosecution.

Eugene F. Addison and his wife Caroline A. Addison are still browsing the market for potential customers and easy victims. The basic method is going door-to-door, dropping flyers here and there at various sections of the city and/or other means to reach their goals.

There is another area of their
activity to trick you out or to beguile somebody out of money. It is music. Eugene F. Addison claims he has recorded CDs and they are professionals in entertainment such as wedding parties, occasional celebrations, dancing parties and so on. Addison pretends to be a singer. Looking for easy and impulsive customer with construction needs, he may offer you to keep and listen to the music recorded on CDs he will hand out to you free. This way he may think he will turn away your attention, instead of keeping your eyes on the project.

They both are cheating and lying to people since years. There are some indications they might be involved in bankruptcies and drug trafficking. The business exists only in the name: "Donald T. Enterprise", there is nothing else behind to support it: no equipment, no employees, and no assets, nothing at all!!!
This image of the Donald T. Enterprise, company I suffered from is coming from my short observation. It bothers me a lot the lack of answer for question: How could he survive in such a long time, 17 years, with 13 unpaid judgments avoiding the Law Enforcement monitoring and intervention?

Where are the Law Authorities and where are Law Enforcement Agencies??? Who would be able to stop this company from continuing this fraudulent and illegal business practices?
