Douglas Hall began working on our home in November of 2012. He told us that he would complete our roof before the weather was too bad. He was paid in the beginning for the supplies and part of the labor. He completed one section of the roof (or so we thought). He has not been back to complete the job and placed tarps on our home. Repeated phone calls to him have resulted in the following: He will tell us that he is bringing the supplies or that he will be coming to the home to complete the repairs. He has not done either. At one point I did get him on the phone and I asked him if we could go to where he had our supplies to pick them up. I then asked him where they were and he said that they were at the store. I then told him if he did not purchase the supplies yet then he needed to return our money to us. He hung up on me and we have not been able to get a hold of him since that day. He was living at Franklin Ave in Toronto, OH. He will not answer his cell phone when we call him. Upon looking him up on the Jefferson County OH, Clerk of Courts website, Toronto Court cases it has been determined that he has had civil court cases against him. The damage to our home is extensive and will cost us thousands of dollars. The ceiling in our living room came down one day when we were at work and school. Thank goodness no once was home. We would like to get his name out there so that he does not do this to anyone else. We would also like to know if there are any organizations that can help us find funds to complete. Please let us know. Thank you.
