I am a medical assistant. I attended an interview with Dr. Ingram and it did not go well at all. She asked me to tell her something about myself other than my training and skills. She wanted to know about my personal life. She asked me if i had kids and if so, do i have a baby-sitter? I thought that was rude, so i tried to change the subject by telling her that i was nervous. She told me that i didnt have confideii nce and that she has other people to interview. She said that i am going to have trouble getting hired because i dont sell myself enough, and because i am a young african-american female.

You did not get the job, but it is the employer's fault?? Employers create opportunities, and apparently you were not up to par! What school did you attend? You must not have learned any job etiquette and apparently no interview skills? Have you found a job yet....probably not with your attitude. I hope the Doctor reports you to the school for this post. You are completely out of of order! All employers ask if potential employees have kids, they want to ensure that getting to work will not be a problem!
