Dr. Marc Gerdisch My experiences with this guy are unbelieveable! Indianapolis Indiana

Dr. Gerdisch is one of the most empathetic, knowledgeable, and professional surgeons my family has ever had the pleasure of knowing via aortic valve replacement surgery. Should anyone EVER need a physician that goes above and beyond what is needed it is Dr. Gerdisch. He speaks to the elderly like he should - vital human beings, in a timely, well thought manner. I've seen him rush to the aid of people who are not his patients. He has an open door policy when just stopping by his office with a question and never charged a penny for his time, effort, or energy!

We would follow Dr. Gerdisch's practice wherever he should choose to be. Through is vast knowledge and professional expertise, he MATTERS and lets you and your family know, they do too!

It is too bad that anyone would choose a world forum to address a grievance against anyone else. It seems to me that anyone who is in business long enough will, at some point, have a disappointing experience in one or more of your business dealings. Most people choose to cut their loses and move on to the next opportunity.

It also seems to me that the author of this post is choosing to judge and entire person's life history, and carrier from one, or even a couple of experiences. I hope no one does the same to you.

For my part I can tell you a little about Dr. Gerdisch. You see, I had the opportunity to work with him for over 12 years! I believe that gives me a very good perspective to speak of what I know to be truth. Having also worked with a large number of different cardiac surgeons, I can tell you that Dr. Gerdisch is not an exception when it comes to expecting and demanding high quality of work from those around him, because, his primary concern is that of the patients he serves. If your conduct or skills are questionable, and not improving, you will feel the heat.

The stories about him being disrespectful to his patients is very hard to believe. This is a man whom I have seen sit and crack jokes with his patients, as well as, sit and shed bitter tears on behalf of his patients.

So my advise would be, if there is a grievance, preserve your dignity and take it up personally with the man. And, if you are going to try and take him down, make sure you know the man before attacking him on issues that are not congruent with the man's character.

I did speak with that business because she called in and spoke with me and was trying to reach the doctor. I asked what was going on, as nosey as I am. She doesn't even know I posted this here, but I will let you know that if you really know this man Judy, you know exactly what I am talking about. Maybe you have not seen it because he is not flirting with you, but I have!! This man may look professional with his patients, but I know the truth. Someone else does too. I have been a patient of Dr. Gerdisch's for over a year. I feel he has been misrepresented in this report and the author of this report against Dr. Gerdisch is irresponsible and untruthful. Dr. Gerdisch is highly reconized in his medical field and has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism with regard to patient care and standards. The comment referenced that he violates patient confidentiality and is not discrete about his patients is not characteristic of him. I have complete trust that Dr. Gerdisch is compliant with all of the HIPPA regulations and would not jeapodize his reputation by not being compliant. Indianapolis is very fortunate to have Dr. Gerdisch serving their medical community.

The person who filed this report is not employed by Dr Gerdisch, but was in fact an outside contractor who's services were terminated due to poor performance. Checking references with the BBB and Angie's List is recommended, however, the company this lady owns did not provide an address, thereby making this process impossible.

The error here was hiring her in the first place and then providing her the credit card number to pay her, thereby allowing her to charge for services not provided. The person she describes in the report is not the man I work with. I am employed by Dr Gerdisch, I witness his expertise daily, not only with the surgery he performs, but the subsequent improvement in quality of life for his patients. The compassion and kindness he extends his patients is extraordinary.

Dr. Gerdisch is a professional with extremely high ethical standards, and the HIPPA laws surrounding patient privacy are taken very seriously, and for this person to suggest otherwise is ludicrous. This woman has never met me, or anyone at our office. She has never been on our premises.

What this is really about is billing erroneously for services not provided and Dr. Gerdisch refusing to pay.

I forgot to ad the reason for my post here tonight. Today, I received a call from this lady who he had a business deal with. He ended up screwing her over too. I was so upset to hear what he had done to her that I started thinking about all of the things he does to some of his co-workers. Anywho, he really did her dirty, and I told her about this site and how I was planning on doing this when I got off work this evening. I expected her to post here too, but guess she did not.

I won't give out the details of that problem, but this guy would not stop talking about her today. I overheard him call her a VERY nasty name after talking to her over the phone. I hope she ends up winning whatever it is she is doing. Maybe then Dr. Gerdisch will realize he's not always right!
