I was a patient of Dr. Richard Galitz for 12 years. He had done several facial procedures, which were satisfactory. I discussed what my goals were to be achieved and was assured that I would be happy. The muscle in my neck was cut without my authorization and pulled so tight that I have a lump under my chin. My lower eyelids were cut and pulled unevenly. My neck was done twice as I had gone back to complain. I asked to have my nose thinned out and the bridge to be lowered.. I paid 1800.00 additional for this and when I went back I was told that there was nothing more they could do. I asked for my money back and was told that they do not do refunds. I spent $10,000.00 and I look exactly the same as when I went in before the surgery with little to no difference. I was also told that the work was to be done under local anethesia. I suspect this is because the procedures are not invasive that only a small nip or slight pulling of skin is done. No repositioning which is what a real facelift mid, lower or otherwise consists of. Please beware that if you are looking for a significant change in the look of your appearance do not go to Dr. Galitz. He is a rip off!!

The above patyient had 12 years of successful surgery and was previously very happy. She was told beforehand that because of the previous surgery it would be prudent to approach this latest surgery conservatively. Her skin and presenting situation did not indicate anything but a conservative approach. This was fully explained and the patient had good surgery without any complications. I am sorry that she now seems to feel that she misunderstood what the agreed upon approach was. Richard Galitz MD FACS
