I have contracted with Drive Financial in or around August of 06' for financial installments. For over a year, every single payment was made on time. I had started my own business in July 07' doing contract work which made it difficult for me to keep steady income. My bills had to get paid when I got paid, which was whenever a job was completed. At one point I didn't get paid for a job until a month later, but when I did I made a double payment to catch up. That happened around Nov. and ever since then, if my payment is just a few days late they would start calling.

I had a payment due on Nov. 31st and I was receiving calls serveral times a week in December trying to collect. It didn't bother me a whole lot because they never gave much hassle until then. They got there payment a couple days after Christmas but that left me struggling again when Jan. came around.

Unable to set a date for payment, they said that my name would stay in the computers on the call lists. They would call me every other day! That's when I was really getting aggrevated. I had full intentions of bringing my account current and decided to take on a steady income job so didn't have to deal with these problems anymore and I kept them fully informed of the situation but the calls would keep coming. I would talk to someone for 30min on the phone explaining everything on a Saturday the by Tuesday I would get another call. I was to a point where I didn't even care about the dept anymore and say take the car, it's not worth this.

Well, when Feburary came around I still owed them 2 payments because I was still working on a big job, the last one before taking on the new job. Around the 13th I recieved a call and they offered me a Differment. I said I didn't think I was eligible and he told me that if I made half a months payment then they would do a differment for me and I would be caught up. I was like GREAT! so 2 days later I called the payment in and they gave instructions to fax in some documents and I did.

Today is the 27th, I recieved call requesting payment. When I asked, "what happened to my differment?", they said I didn't get approved....! What?! It was something that YOU offered me? They said,"Well you'll have to take that up with the Vice President or the President they are the ones who denied it.". When I asked for their information she wasn't able to give it to me. After ending that call obrutely I called back and talked to my account manager who still couldn't answer me why I didn't get the differment that they told I would get, and I when I asked to speak to his boss, he said, "have a nice day sir" and hung up.

There is definately some unethical business practice's going on and some very miss guided customer care. I'm going to learn everything possibe about legal rights to persue this company's unorthadox treatment and any information would be appreciated. BE ADVISED!
