Drive Time ,Ugly Duckling Ugly Duckling Sold A Car That Would not Run . Car stopped running after I got It home. Arlington, Texas

I want to help a friend that was taken advantage of thru the purchase of a 2002 Dodge Neon from Drivetime 821 E. Division, Arlington, TX 76011.  The vehicle cost her in excess of $16000.00+.  She purchased the vehicle on Oct 2, 2009.  The car had to be put in the shop the Monday after she purchased it because it stopped running, and she had also made the first car payment.  The car had noise coming from the left front tire,  a corroded battery and the wires, also the battery did not have any water in it.  The dashboard panel lights were flickering on and off, the trunk had standing water under the spare tire.  Each time she called to try and get help she was told to take it to the mechanic the company deals with.  She has had to take the car in 3 times within a 30 day period. There was a $40.00 diagnostic fee each time she took the car in.  She has since had to have the car towed to get it to the same mechanical shop because the car still does not run.  No one at Drivetime will help her with the problem, they have not offered to get her another car,have not offered to work with her to ensure she was give a reliable vehicle.  If there is anything that can be done I know she would appreciate it.  She has exhausted all of her avenues to try to get assistance and she received none.  At this writing she could not afford to pay to get her car from the mechanic which the tow bill and diagnostic bill was due.  She says she feels she has been taken advantage of and that she wants to find a reliable car she can afford so that she can get back and forth to work.  Her job is in jeopardy because she has to fine someone to take her to work everyday.  She made contact with Drivetime to let them know she has to give the car back because the car does not run and please work with me to get a reliable car for work.  She have been hung up on curse at etc.  Please if you can help her, her name is Myrna T, 817-xxx-xxxx (((REDACTED))) which is her home number, if you call during the day you can call me and I can contact her during the day.  Thank you Becky.
