DriveTime Carsales Company, LLC DBA: Drivetime Mobile Sold us Vehicle with MAJOR MULTIPLE PROBLEMS. ON 1-17-2013. Supposedly been throgh rigorous inspection before puting on lot for sale. Mobile Alabama
On December 17,2013 we purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox from Drime Time in Mobile Albama. Price was a little high but you do what you have to do to get transportation for work. At the time of purchase little things was noticed such as moisture in headlights, noise in rear,trim missing around front wished. Afraid it would leak. When it was brought to their attention they said contact warranty after purchasing. On December the 19, 2013. I noticed a liquid flushing sound flowing at a rapid pace under hood in front of driver. Brakes were steady going to the floor when stopped, driver seat was making horrendous mechanical noise, charging plug for devices was rusted and did not work. We called Aeverex (warranty company). We was told to call their repair shop they used and make appointment to take vehicle in. We did this and a appointment was made for December 26,2013. After the vehicle was checked of all issues. Then a person from Aeverex was sent to do a evaluation. They both had the same conclusion. Blown Head gasket, brakes were broken...disconnected?, seat mother was broken, they Severed said the headlight moisture and trim was no big deal and that they would Not fix. No news about the necessary electrical outlet. As you know a blown Head gasket is a major deal!!! We wanted to return the vehicle but was not given that option. We were told they would replace the moter with a used one with 63000 + miles on it. In the mean time we went ahead and bought a tag ( due for another tag now). It was insured on 12-18-2013. First car note is due 1-25-2013. My husband has missed lots of time from his job taking me to work each day. They played a rental car for two days at which we was responsible for getting and paying the rental charge then submit the tickets to Aeverex on each week and then they would Mail us the reimbursement. So Not Worth The Hassle and they know this. It saves them money. We are out All this time and money and have driven the car for a total of less than a week!!!! Today is January 21,2014 and we still have No Vehicle. These vehicles though used are supposedly put through a vigorous inspection before putting on the lot to sell. At this particular time there is 3 + vehicles sold from drivetime at the repair shop with messed up (broke) motor. Hmmmm??? As I am writing this report the repair shop called and said that Aeverex REFUSED TO REPLACE the Drive Belt and thermostat that were damaged due to the sludge in the motor. So they are replacing the motor but not these to things that was also damaged due to the sludge in the motor. We was also told from Drive time customer service..." It is a Used Vehicle" REALLY??? We have purchased lots of used cars but not a piece of luck! People there is a difference! DO NOT BUY FROM DRIVETIME :/
