Bought a car from DriveTime July 2012 and I will just say "DITTO" to all the other reports you have read, or should be reading, about this company.

Timing Belt broke -- in the shop for 4 days and then came up with $600 worth of other stuff they said was wrong with it that wasn't wrong with it before the timing belt broke.  I didn't have the money for the other $600 worth of stuff to be done and still had to pay for the smoke test at the rate of $70.  Took the car home and it wouldn't drive right and now there was something wrong with the brakes.  Got a mechanic friend to look into all they said was wrong with it and he changed gaskets, etc and also found where someone had busted 2 of the bolts that went to the air intake manifold.  Car still didn't run right --- ended up taking it back to the origanal mechanic and found that the new timing belt was not installed properly and that was causing all the other problems.  All this time without my car and still paying payments on it.

Then the AC went out -- mechanic said it needed a new compressor -- surprisingly DriveTime warranty paid for that but two days later the AC was blowing hot air again.  Now they are saying there is a hose crimped and DT won't pay for that.  On top of that the engine light is on again and has something to do with the exhaust -- Dt won't pay for the testing for that either.  My husband and I are seriously thinking about having them repo it so the madness will stop.  It's better to pay off the difference than to have to pay it anyway along with all these repairs.  Just wondering if they make you pay for the warranty charges too you are not going to be using because you no longer have the car.
