Search TipsElizabeth, there's no need for you to waste your time searching if what they did is permissible, because from what you described it is. Flyn is "right on target" and I too will echo his words to some extent. You agreed to make every payment on time, period. The contract did not contain provisions to be late in case of job loss, illness etc. The payment is still due on the due date without regard to ANY external circumstances. If you were to say, "All they're interested in is money!", you'd be exactly right because that's the only thing they do. But there's alot more to this than what meets the eye.
The day you signed the contract, you were subprime because you made yourself subprime by having a reputation of not paying your bills on time. When we look at a timeline, that was in the "past", right? Well Elizabeth, lets move onto the present and guess what, you are STILL not paying your bills on time! Why is that? Remember I said, "you made yourself subprime". You can also make yourself PRIME! When that happens, you can kiss these subprime lenders and car dealers with their high interest rates and problem cars, goodbye forever! Nobody but YOU can do that and I urge you to do that STARTING TODAY. Obviously, you cannot pay those bills if you don't have enough money coming in. YOU can change that right now by getting an additional job or part time job. You referenced "we" in your posting. One of you guys can work days while the other works nights. Its not rocket science. Working weekends for 16 hours at $8 per hour will get you an extra $425 per month or so! No, it might not be a glamorous job, but glamore doesn't matter when you can't make ends meet. Please, don't tell me there are no jobs. That's a lie spread by welfare types. If somebody wants to turn their labor services into money, there will be a way. Be it loading/unloading trucks, washing dishes, cleaning streets, digging ditches, etc, etc, etc. You do what you have to do because your integrity means paying your obligations on time, exactly as you promissed you will! I've done this and I'm no better or smarter than you guys! I've owed alot more money than probably you guys do and I had one full time job and up to three part time jobs at the same time. If I can do it, you guys can too and probably alot better.
So Elizabeth, what's it going to be? You have a couple of choices. You can write back and criticize me. You can continue to whine about your bad breaks and how bad DT is. Or Elizabeth, you can get up RIGHT NOW, look in the mirror and tell yourself, "I'm changing all this effective today. I know it won't be easy, but Elizabeth can do better and deserves to do better."
The choice is yours!
SHALOM!

They will be in business as long as people with bad credit insist on buying cars. They are a lender of last resort for folks that have proven that they are not very responsible with their financial obligations. That is why they treat you like a 12 year old.
If you don't care for that kind of treatment, you have a few options. 1) Make your payment when you said you would. 2) Do not borrow from subprime lenders. They all behave that way.
