Dropshipdesign, DropShiponAuction Promised Wholesale Prices But Charged More than Retail! Bainbridge Island Washington

I have to respond because I too fell victim to these people. While I know I can make my own money doing bargain shopping and listing items on ebay, I am married, work full-time, have 2 kids, and am heavily involved with ministries in our church and just don't have the time to go hunting and dumpster diving for money making bargains. This offered a great solution: you order and they package and ship. However, when I inquired as to their wholesale prices, they retracted and said that their wholesale prices were not rock bottom wholesale prices, as that would be impossible to offer. Well, if they're catering to the Average Joe who is not retail literate necessarily, then what do they think people are going to think when they sign up when wholesale prices are offered? Not only were many of their items prices too high, their shipping was outrageous and over half of my orders were out of stock (out of like 9 that I could actually make money off of). Their shipping is actually what put the price over the top, even though they claimed they only charge what the warehouse they get the stuff from charges them. After the initial price, plus shipping fees, the items cost more than what I could find them on Amazon, E-bay, Half.com, Overstock, etc. To the guy who commented on the retail loss thing regarding Wal-Mart, this just goes to prove that there are tons of discount places that people can get this stuff cheaper. And dropshiponauction ships from various warehouses, many of them located in California, to they don't even see or handle the merchandise themselves.

For anyone wanting to try this company, DON'T! If a product is damaged or defective, they expect the customer or you to pay the return shipping. No reimbursement. They didn't tell me about return shipping labels until after they sent me an email explicitly outlining their return procedure, and that they did not reimburse for shipping. Someone changes their mind I can understand, but when an item is defective, someone should have to eat that it it shouldn't be me or my customers. By the time I hounded them about the return shipping and they finally told me they could have provided a return label it was 2 weeks later and the customer had already sent the item back, parcel post, for a tune of $21 which I had to reimburse and which ate up any profit I made on the item plus some.

They are horrible and that's their money making: The sign up fees and monthly membership fees. That's it. They don't care about anything after that but continually running you around with emails and contradicting the information they give you initially. It's not worth the headache or the hit to your feedback.

This is all the info on dropshipdesign,I got this through whois.net and anyone can,its public info,if you think you have a problem with a site,check them out here the Wyoming address,we know there is a washington address,which is their warehouse,I havent heard of a California address,but who knows.The point is NEVER PAY TO HAVE SOMEONE MAKE YOUR $$$$ DO IT YOURSELF.You can look up various companies who will give you a great price and you can make $$$.You would be surprised,the same $ you spend on these bogus sites you can use to build your own inventory.Flea Markets,Retail stores when they need to clear product,watch the stores you will know when the right time is.I go to a big retail store now and buy $110.00 name brand sweaters for $18.00,then hold onto them until winter.THINK,AND YOU WILL MAKE MONEY,ON YOUR OWN.

Ronny, often times a retailer such as Wal-mart will offer certain high-profile products like the Xbox for a price that is lower than what they paid. In retail this is called a loss leader. They hope to get you in the store to buy the Xbox (which they are selling for say $10 below wholesale). Then you buy 5 to 10 more items from the store, like controllers, games, etc., and they make $15 profit from those items. They are happy to lose money on the Xbox because they make a profit on your trip as a whole.
