I am reporting Dte Energy today because they are outright and viciously ripping me off..I also suspect them of maliciously tampering with my bill by putting other peoples bills on my bill while in exchange for money.Dte refuses to put supervisors on the phone because either the supervisors are in on this crime and abuse or because the staff that handles the bills are not reporting the actual amounts of money that they are asking me to pay in order to be put on the shut off plan.Dte asks you how much is your income and whatever you tell them they will basically want half if not all of your income.For instance if your income is 150 they want 140 dollars out of that...and then they asked me to put down 40 bucks which is what they will pocket in order to be placed on the budget plan or the shut off protection plan.My bill is 0nly 197.00 bud they are refusing and denying me as a customer to be placed on the budget winter protection plan.Also when i repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor,i was placed on hold for almost 2 hours straight and when i finally got through it was another customer service worker and she wanted to put me through the same crap once again..i insisted on speaking to a supervisor and she asked me to tell her what i wanted so she can tell the supervisor and i told her ma'am you already know what the problem is so stop..I told her i wanted a supervisor and she put me on hold for 30 minutes only to come back and tell me that there was no supervisor available so i insisted and i was continuously put and placed on hold and never was connected with a supervisor.I hung up and called back and they made the phones repeatedly hang up on me by pushing those buttons an x amount of times.I was also told that in order for me to request a hearing that i must pay my bill off,well i found this to be another one of their scams and tricks because it defeats the whole purpose of why i am requesting the haering in the first place.Overall Dte is getting away with scamming and ripping people off while at the same time committing crooked acts from the inside and the have put me and others in a no win ,you lose ,oh well situation by keeping my rights as a customer hidden and closing gaps so that noone will ever find out about what is really going on with this company and what these people are really doing to others as far as over charging,scamming,discriminating and putting other peoples bills on others bills..And they mostly are doing this to people that have outstanding bills or that receive some form of government assistance.Dte's budget plan is unfair and is not a plan to help people save or to help us try and keep our service on.This budget plan actually makes your bill higher because not only do you have to pay you bill that is due,but now you have to pay the budget pan amount,so this actually increases your bill.Dte is a fraudulant company and is only out to take,take,take unfairly and with no regards for people trying to survive with and on what little that they have.Dte is getting over on the weak,vulnerable and people that can barely make it and are using tactics to extort people especially the ones that have to go to fia and seek emergency funds.Dte needs to be investigated immediately.......Detroit ,Michigan

If, as you say, they are charging you on the basis of your income and adding on your neighbors bills to yours, you should report them to your states regulatory commission.
Prove that Dte is acting fraudulently and scamming and discriminating against the weak and vulnerable.
Or, are you saying they have singled you out to inflict all these things on?
You have to follow THEIR rules for paying your bill and whether or not they will offer YOU their budget plan...which you don't know whether you want it or not. You are NOT allowed to tell them how to run their business....bet that comes as a surprise to you.
I have a strong suspicion they are charging you fairly and it is not their fault or responsibility to charge you less because of your financial situation. They also don't "extort" people who have to seek emergency funds....the socialists.
