This company does restaurant equipment repair work across New York state. I was recently called in to take a look at a fryer that a local chain restaurant had Duffy's in several times to fix with no success. First thing I noticed were that almost all of the screws holding this bank of fryers together were missing. I purchased a package of 100 screws and used almost everyone of them. This fryer is less than two years old, there is no F-in reason for all those screws to be missing. The customer was complaining of an oil leak and showed me where Duffy's tried to repair an oil drain line with duct tape. DUCK TAPE?!?! Well the duck tape did not work so I fixed it properly with the manufacturers drain coupling. When I was testing the filter system the customer said that the #2 vat would trip the circuit breaker when they filtered. Sure as S@@t it did. A three way return valve was in upside down and guess who installed it. To top it off Duffy's had the balls to charge this poor company every time they went out to so call repair this fryer. A week later I received a call from another customer that Duffy's had been in five times to fix their oven and it is still down. In less than 15 minutes I had the oven repaired, back in service, and was able to show the customer exactly why it went down and what to do to prevent it from happening again. By reading their website it would sound like you can't live without them, but after seeing their work I think your better off without them.

Duffy's is the BEST!

For one, this Super Tech as he calls himself can't even spell the name of the town correctly and has a incorrect website for Duffy's.  This is either a disgruntled ex-employee that is now unemployed or one of the many customers we have sent to collections for non-payment.

I find it hard to believe someone who may or may not be a tech is trying to build his company by tearing down one of the biggest & best service company in NY State.  I'm sure if you work hard for as many years as Duffy's has, you might become one of the best service companies in NY State!

These other service companiessay and do this all the time. He or she is assuming Duffy'sscrewed this up. Normally Duffy'sis there to fix somepart of the equipment someone else has screwed up. Normally in between times the owner or other personnel figure they know more than the service companyand do some of their own handy work. A lot of times when Duffy'stell the customer the equipment is missing something, thecustomer doesn't want it fixed unlessit absolutely affects the running of the equipment. Just because the fryer is less than 2 years old, doesn't mean Duffy'sinstalled the fryer either. A majorityof the time the dealers come in and install the equipment andit's a half a$$ job. Duffy'sis always called in to fix this stuff as theydo warranty work for all the manufactureres. Of course the customer or the next service company will blame this on Duffy's. Also I like to add a lot of these techs from other service companies are ex-employeesof Duffy's and were fired for one reason or another. There arealsoex-employees of Duffy's that own other service companies that were caught stealing from us. Unlike this person, I will leave their names out. I believe it's better not to believe everything you hear and only half of what you see. If this person was so reliable with what he or she is saying, why not leave a nameso we can confirm what he or she is saying? It will never happen. There is a reason why Duffy'sdoes all the warranty work for all these manufacturers. It isn't by accident. They are tested by the manufacturers to make sure they are able to do the work correctly and in a timely fashion. Check for yourself. See how many master technicians Duffy's has compared to any other service company in NY state. For the service personwho wrote this; I'm sure your business won't pick up after writing this.
