I wasn't in Colorado when the tolls were charged, and the license plate was not mine. They insisted it was mine and demanded payment.
I was emailed a photo of the license plate - which my Motor Vehicle Department tells me is registered to another person in another town - although it had been registered to me some 20 years ago and expired.
The E-470 company representative at first refused to attempt any correction and demanded that I provide proof it wasn't my car, but after speaking to a supervisor, she said they will look into it.
As far as I am concerned, this is an attempted scam. Even if you avoid E-470, you may be billed for tolls!
