I bought a game they guarenteed to work. It did not, I didn't have the system for it. I called and asked if I could use their system to test it on. They said yea, to drive up there. I drive up there, and they tell me they "sold" all the systems, while this idiot stands in front of several of them as if I couldn't see them behind his skinny hind end. So I wasted gas driving up there to test a game they guarenteed to work that does not work, I'm stuck with the game, they were hateful about it as well. No one should go into this pawn shop. They should be shut down.

I was buying and selling vintage video games...

AUTHOR: jamfanwp - ()

It was Legend of Zelda for Super Nintendo. I was buying it to sell to collectors. At the time of handling the game, I had no Super Nintendo system in my posession. It's not at all the fact that it wasn't in working order, I'd have bought it if they told me it didn't work because I can repair them. I asked if it was functional they said it was, that they test them to be sure. It wasn't functional. I was told over the phone I could come use one of their systems to test it (I had gone over it with a fine tooth comb, and actually had it in working order, but did not know for sure because I did not have a super nintendo in hand at the moment). I drove all the way across town and the woman at the counter *looks* at the super nintendo sitting where I can just see it, and tells me they sold it. Very, very bad business. This happened because I was buying their SNES games to resell. They eventually pulled them behind the counter because they realized I was making a few bucks off them. Considering I was buying hundreds of dollars worth of them, it was a rather bad business decision on their part.

I was not angry at all.

AUTHOR: jamfanwp - ()

I was not the least bit rude, the game wasn't a disk, it was a Super Nintendo game. It was returned to me because it did not work after I was promised it had been cleaned and tested in a system. I had to clean it myself. I sold my Super Nintendo during this time, and thus I had no system to test the game on once I paid to have it shipped back, and did the necissary repairs. Telling someone something works when it doesn't is bad business. All that needed to happen was to tell me it hadn't been tested, or that I could not use a system to test it on. Instead I was lied too, and drove all the way across town. It's really funny actually because I probably would have bought the super nintendo as well had I been told I could use it as opposed to hiding it when I knew it was there because I was in your pawn shop at least once a week. Lying is bad business. Don't lie to people knowing they are going to have to drive to your establishment.

Biased and wrong review from anger

AUTHOR: Heather - ()

I have worked with E&B for many years, before I came across this review; the writer clearly was angry when writing - the pawn shop always checks our games and movies, as well as not selling discs with aguarantee. In fact, if reviewers pause, the idea of a used item's guarantee is ludicrous. Do not buy used if you wish a brand new perfect item. Also, as I created them, there are signs all across our business which state clearly the store's non-refundable or guarantee program. Please stop and think about the risks one takes when getting merchandise for a very low prices (we sell games for 4/5 dollars, unless for a newer system) before you ever return to an establishment like ours.

Yes, the hateful comment is probably true, but if you came in demanding rudey (as many do ) that we refund or replace after not paying enough attention to signs that warn against it; but face it: you probably deserved it - we are a family and private business. Do unto others applies here.

Thank you for your time,

An employee whose own game and dvd colelction comes from the shop.

Very Confusing

AUTHOR: Cody - (U.S.A.)

Why would you buy a game for a system that you do not own or possess?

You say you do not have a system to test it on, then how do you know it doesn't work? Very strange RoR.
